The ACP India Chapter is pleased to recognize the contributions of ACP members in various categories of service and achievements. We invite all eligible ACP members to participate in the awards application process.
The awards and their respective categories are as follows:
- Early Career Physician Award: This award recognizes early-career physicians who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to the field of internal medicine.
- Hospitalist of the Year Award: This award honors a hospitalist who has made significant contributions to the field of hospital medicine through patient care, research, education, and/or advocacy.
- Humanitarian of the Year: This award recognizes a physician who has made significant contributions to improve the health and well-being of underserved populations or communities.
- ACP India Internist Award: This award recognizes an internist who has made outstanding contributions to the practice of internal medicine in India.
- LifeTime Achievement Award: This award honors a physician who has made significant contributions to the field of internal medicine over the course of their career.
- Researcher of the Year Award: This award recognizes a physician who has made significant contributions to the field of medical research, particularly in the area of internal medicine.
- Medical Student of the Year Award: This award recognizes a medical student who has demonstrated exceptional promise and commitment to the field of internal medicine.
- Resident of the Year Award: This award honors a resident who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to the field of internal medicine.
- Fellow of the Year Award: This award recognizes a fellow who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to the field of internal medicine.
- Resident Recognition Award for Leadership: This award recognizes a resident who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in the field of internal medicine.
- Teacher of the Year Award: This award honors a physician who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to medical education.
- Chapter Advocacy Award: This award recognizes a physician who has demonstrated outstanding advocacy efforts on behalf of internal medicine patients or practitioners.
- Chapter Leader Award: This award recognizes a physician who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in their role as a chapter leader.
- ACP India Chapter Clinical Practice Award: This award honors a physician who has demonstrated outstanding clinical skills in the practice of internal medicine.
- ACP Community-Based Teaching Award: This award recognizes a physician who has made outstanding contributions to medical education through community-based teaching.
- Distinguished Teacher/Mentor Award: This award honors a physician who has demonstrated exceptional skills as a teacher and mentor.
- ACP India Educator Award: This award recognizes a physician who has made outstanding contributions to medical education in India.
- Fostering Diversity Award: This award recognizes a physician who has made significant contributions to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the field of internal medicine.
- Wellness Award: This award honors a physician who has made significant contributions to promoting wellness among patients or practitioners.
- Women Physician of the Year Award: This award recognizes a female physician who has made outstanding contributions to the field of internal medicine.
- Volunteer Faculty Year Award: This award recognizes a physician who has made exceptional contributions to medical education through volunteer teaching.
- Governor's Recognition Award: This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the ACP India Chapter by the Governor of the Chapter.
- ACP India Excellence Award: This award recognizes outstanding contributions made by a physician in the field of internal medicine.
- ACP India Award for outstanding contribution in Women's Health: This award recognizes a physician who has made outstanding contributions to the field of women's health in India.
- Dr. B.C. Roy Best Thesis Award: This award recognizes the best thesis submitted by a resident or fellow in the field of internal medicine.
Eligibility Criteria:
- To be eligible for the American College of Physicians India Chapter awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current member of the ACP in good standing with all dues paid.
- Reside or practice in India.
- Submit a completed application form with all required documentation and materials by the stated deadline.
- Please note that some awards may have additional eligibility requirements, such as career stage or field of specialty. These requirements will be detailed in the award descriptions and application forms.
- It is compulsory for all the applicants to mention the Physical conference registration number for the upcoming ACP India Chapter conference at Bhubaneswar. Incomplete applications will not be considered
